Rob Roy
The Rob Roy is a cocktail created in 1894 by a bartender at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan, New York City.
Ingredients: 5/6 ounces Sweet Vermouth, 1 1/2 oounces Scotch Whisky, Dash Angostura Bitters
Preparation: Add ingredients to a mixing glass and stir over ice, strain into a chilled glass, garnish and serve straight up, or mix in a rocks glass, filled with ice.
Served: Choice of “straight up” or “On the rocks”
Standard garnish: Maraschino cherry or lemon twist
