Halloween Party Theme

Halloween has always been a holiday filled with mystery, magic and superstition. It began as a Celtic end-of-summer festival during which people felt especially close to deceased relatives and friends. For these friendly spirits, they set places at the dinner table, left treats on doorsteps and along the side of the road and lit candles to help loved ones find their way back to the spirit world.

The ideas for this theme will work if it is a gathering for families, a child’s party or one for just adults !  Enjoy the season and celebrate friends and family.

Invitations
It's never too early to get people in the mood for your party theme! Start by sending themed invitations with ample advance notice for your guests to save the date. Remember to let them know when and how to RSVP, and whether they should wear costumes or help bring the theme to life in some other way.
Signs, Banners, & Backdrops
These items are great for marking your location for your guests' convenience. They're also great for creating an immersive party theme environment and making the attendees feel welcome—which is always nice when you start getting too busy to personally greet everyone the moment they arrive.
Balloons
Balloons can do it all! Mark your party location, use them for centerpieces, or just fill your home with festive floating fun! Mylar and/or latex balloons are available for any occasion and theme. Get them blown up at the store or pick up a disposable helium tank if you want to inflate them yourself.
Scrapbooking Paper & Confetti
These products are perfect for all sorts of DIY decorations. Try wrapping containers with scrapbook paper to make themed holders for plasticware, crayons, flowers, centerpieces, etc. And confetti always adds a festive touch—even to your invitations (but use it sparingly; don't give your guests a mess)!
Home Décor
Supplemental decorations are a must for creating a compelling party theme atmosphere! They serve lots of purposes, like helping mark the location of the party and sprucing up your food and beverage stations. Small touches like these show you went the extra mile to truly bring your party theme to life.
Beverages
Yes, the drinks you serve can reinforce your party theme, too! It's just the sort of extra touch that makes your event extra special and memorable. Whether you're looking for non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverages—or both—here are some fun ways to provide pleasing party potables that fit your theme.
Labels
Bringing your party theme to life is all about paying attention to the little details. Themed labels are an example. They're also practical for identifying food and drinks and for listing ingredients as a courtesy to any guests with dietary restrictions. Give things clever names that play to your theme!
Activities
Activities are a key part of keeping all your guests entertained for the duration of the party. Obviously, the age of the attendees determines what type of activities are best. For young children, providing themed coloring pages you find online and some crayons is a classic that always does the trick.
Games
It's not a party without nonstop fun! Games are essential, especially with younger kids who don't always carry the party with elevated conversation. But games are great for all ages! You can stick with standards, find ones that fit your theme, or find clever tweaks to create something unique in the middle.
